Shofu BEAUTIFIL-Bulk Flowable incorporates Shofu’s bioactive, Giomer filler technology, an S-PRG material demonstrating 13 years of clinical success*, within a fast and easy bulk fill composite. Designed to deliver aesthetic results, low shrinkage stress and complete polymerization at 4mm depth of cure. Opaquer is used for masking discolourations, staining and metal colour as well as pulp capping. The material reportedly delivers excellent strength and radiopaque surface hardness to permit identification.
The use of bulk-fill flowable composites can reduce operator time during the placement of posterior composite resin restorations. With the ability to bulk fill in 4-mm increments and then place a 2-mm occlusal cap, dentists can reduce the number of increments needed to restore Class 1 and 2 preparations without additional shrinkage stress or loss of marginal quality. The varied Giomer filler size in Beautifil Bulk Flowable allows a dense distribution within the resin composite and a high filler load to reduce polymerization shrinkage stress while increasing compressive and flexural strength. Low shrinkage stress results reduce postoperative sensitivity and marginal gap formations.
