Description
Prevest Micron Luting Cement
Prevest Micron Luting Cement. There are two major purposes of luting agents in dentistry – to secure a cast restoration in fixed prosthodontics (e.g. for use of retaining of an inlay, crowns, or bridges), and to keep orthodontic bands and appliances in situ. A luting agent, sometimes called luting cement, is a type of dental cement that is used to attach the surface of a tooth to a restoration, such as a crown. These agents cement the restoration to the tooth surface using chemical forces as well as physical forces. A luting agent is a cement that your dentist uses to help secure a dental restoration — such as a crown, inlay, onlay or fixed bridge — to your teeth. Working time is defined as the time from when the mixing starts until the needle can no longer perform a full circular indentation in the cement.
