Prevest Cal LC Light Cured Calcium Hydroxide Paste

Prevest Cal LC is light cured radiopaque calcium hydroxide paste useful in pulp capping and as a protective base/liner under dental filling materials, cements & other base materials. The antibacterial action of calcium hydroxide makes these cements useful in indirect pulp-capping procedures involving carious dentin. Calcium hydroxide is an odorless white powder.  It also has medical and dental uses. For example, root canal fillings often contain calcium hydroxide. It can be used on several different dental materials that are curable by light.  And also from their potential to allow more heat or cold through than the natural tooth would.

Light–cured resin-modified glass ionomer liners are a better choice for general lining of cavities because of their fluoride release, decreased solubility, and superior mechanical properties.
