Farabeuf Periosteal Raspatory/Elevator Curved 6”
The Farabeuf Periosteal Raspatory/ Elevator is commonly used for scraping periosteum, cartilage, and tissue from bone. The Farabeuf Periosteal Raspatory features a spindle-shaped, bulky handle with a flat, beveled, and sharp blade that has serration on one side, which can be used to scrape hard tissue from bone. Farabeuf Periosteal Raspatory is also available with curved blade.
Periosteal tissue has been used for a long time in our department, and many advantages support its use in myringoplasty. To the best of our knowledge, this issue is scarcely discussed in the previously published literature.
