Description
Dpi Kalzinol Zinc Oxide Eugenol Cement
Dpi Kalzinol Zinc Oxide Eugenol Cement. Zinc Oxide–Eugenol and Noneugenol Cements. The reaction between zinc oxide and eugenol has several applications in dentistry, such as endodontic sealers and root-end filling materials, periodontal coating, inelastic impression materials, cavity base, and temporary restorations. Zinc oxide–eugenol cement (IRM) is a low-strength base used as a temporary cement filling in the event that the patient will return at a later date for a semi-permanent restoration. The powder is mainly zinc oxide and the liquid is eugenol with olive oil as a plasticizer.
- A rapid setting radiopaque Zinc Oxide / Eugenol resin bonded material
- Therapeutic properties – ideal for a sensitive cavity.
- Good thermal and chemical insulation.
- Strong base for amalgam condensation, higher initial resistance to fracture due to resin bonding.
