Description
Detax Esthetic Mask Automix
Detax Esthetic Mask Automix, A-silicone-based, to produce dental technological master and saw models, cold-curing, dimensionally stable, tear-resistant and very elastic. Easy and comfortable to process. For a natural, aesthetic gingival aspect, problem-free function
Direction to Use
1. Preparation of the silicone mold (indirect)
Before sawing the model, build a mold by creating a bank around all parts of the model to be masked, using addition or condensation curing putty (e.g. blue eco or compact lab putty) (Fig. 1). An existing impression, if made of silicone, can also be used as a bank after separating it from its tray. Be sure to remove any undesired protrusions from areas outside of the mask area on the bank to later allow better realignment on the model.
2. Preparation of the model
Be sure to remove enough material so as to allow sufficient mask thickness. Stumps can be sawed and worked on either before or after mask preparation; if done before mask preparation, be sure to block-out saw lines.
3. Preparing silicone mold for assembly
Cut several injection holes into the silicone mold (from the palatinal resp. lingual side). Then, drill air vents into the mold with a rose-head burr, placing them at the highest points of the desired mask . Clean silicone mold and coat with separating liquid. Let dry for 30 seconds, then remount the mold onto the model, check to ensure satisfactory fit, and fasten.
4. Fabrication by direct method
Mark the edge of the gingival areas for the impression with soft wax or similar. Then insulate this area by spraying lightly with silicone Separating Agent. Drying time 30 sec. Separating Agent (separating liquid) is suitable for A- and C-silicones and polyether impression material. Please note by the application of Esthetic Mask: Inject directly around the impression .
