Micron Silver is PRE MIXED radiopaque, silver alloy Glass Ionomer Cement for restoration of primary teeth, core build up, restoration of class I, limited class II cavities and as a base and liner material. Micron silver which is reinforced with spherical silver alloy has high compressive and adhesion to the tooth. It has excellent tooth adhesion, sustained fluoride release and high comprehensive strength.

Prevest Micron Silver Type 2 Glass Ionomer Cement Bacteria in the teeth produces an acid while they consume the sugars found in drinks and foods, which causes tooth decay. Glass ionomer cements (GICs) can have a range of compositions, but the chief constituents are alumina, silica, and calcium. There are several characteristics of glass ionomer cement that makes it an ideal material for the dentists to use. In additional to being the same color as teeth, this cement sticks to the enamel (hard outer layer) of teeth. Making it an ideal adhesive material in various dental procedures.

  • It provides permanent restoration of class III, class V and small class fillings.
  • It allows restoration of deciduous teeth( especially class I).
  • Used in primary teeth fillings/ fissure sealing, filling of cervical erosions.
  • It is also used in fillings prior to crown preparations.
