Prevest Denpro Limited. d-Limonene based gutta percha solvent for removing gutta percha at the time of root canal retreatment. * Evaporation of solvent is less due to low volatility.  Chloroform rapidly softens gutta percha and, in conjunction with files, allows for the removal of gutta percha in a crown-down manner. With the canals filled with chloroform bath then paper points are utilized to wick residual gutta percha and sealers from the more inaccessible regions of the root canal system.

The purpose of this study was to compare and evaluate. The dissolving capability of various endodontic solvents used during endodontic retreatment on resilon and gutta-percha at different immersion time intervals.
